The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 5-27-2024 at approximately 6:47 pm, their office received a report of an ATV accident with injuries at a property located on 93rd Street, approximately six miles east of Buckman, MN in Morrill Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old Dawn Monson of Pierz, MN was driving an ATV in a field at a property along 93rd Street. Monson entered a mud puddle, lost control of the ATV and rolled. Monson was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Air Care with unknown injuries. Passengers 44-year-old Genoveva Hernandez of Long Prairie, MN and 19-year-old Kayla Barthel of Foley, MN were transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with unknown injuries. Nobody on the ATV was wearing a helmet. This case remains under investigation.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the MN State Patrol, Pierz Fire Department, Pierz First Response Team, MLMB First Response Team, North Air Care and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
