The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 4-5-2025 at approximately 8:29 pm, their office received a report of an ATV accident with injuries on the Soo-Line Trail just east of 250th Avenue, approximately one mile southwest of Pierz, MN in Pierz Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 59-year-old Lloyd Orth of Rice, MN was driving an ATV traveling west on the Soo-Line Trail. Orth lost control of the ATV and rolled causing the ATV to land on him. Orth was transported to St. Cloud Hospital by North Air Care with severe injuries. Orth was wearing a helmet. This case remains under investigation.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Pierz Fire Department, Pierz First Response Team, North Air Care and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
