NEWS RELEASE

Morrison County Sheriff’s Office

November 7, 2025

Today marks nine years since the tragic homicide that claimed the life of Terrence (Terry) Brisk. The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office continues to ask for the public’s assistance in solving this case. Terry Brisk was murdered while hunting on his parents’ property on November 7, 2016.

Terry Brisk was an avid outdoorsman, who was well respected. He was fatally shot with his own rifle while deer hunting. Based on evidence at the scene, it was determined that the suspect was in close proximity to Terry, and it is believed that Terry and the suspect would have interacted prior to the homicide taking place. Sheriff Larsen states that his office continues their commitment to bring closure to Terry’s family by holding the person responsible accountable for his death. Sheriff Larsen states, “Nine years have passed since this tragic incident, but time has not lessened our determination to find justice. Our investigators, along with our state and federal partners, continue to actively pursue every lead and explore new forensic opportunities. We owe it to Terry, his family, and his friends to keep pushing forward.”

This case remains open and active. There is still a $30,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Terry Brisk’s murder.

Please contact the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office with any information you may have at 320-632-9233. Another option is to report this case anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Minnesota at their website www.crimestoppersMN.org, by calling the toll free number 1-800-233-TIPS (8477) from anywhere in Minnesota or by installing a Submit a Tip app on any smart phone, or by sending a text message beginning with TIP674 to CRIMES (274637).  All contact with Crime Stoppers is anonymous and you may qualify for a reward from them if your information leads to an arrest.

Justice delayed is not justice denied, we’re still pursuing it.
